Chris and Katherine’s engagement session . . . it’s been a long time coming

I have had the pleasure of knowing Chris for 9 years now. He is pretty much family to us. I was elated when he asked me (to HD video and shoot) and our mutual buddy J Ford to photograph him proposing to Katherine in September ‘09.  The whole set up was very secret service like.  The goal was to document the entire process and never let Katherine see or know anything of our being there.  Everything went so well that not even Chris could find me or Jonathan even though he knew where we were going to be (Chris and I had staked out my location the day before).

I photographed their engagement session at the end of this past December.

Kellye and Wesley’s New Orleans Engagement Session

Style and fun was the theme for this shoot. Henry McCoy (aka Hengry) drove in to help and join in on all the fun. In minutes Hengry and I knew that Kellye and Wesley were a special couple and that this session was going to be a BLAST!  We spent the entire day in New Orleans shooting at City Park.

I just love a good traditional pose. I just love Kellye’s perfect hand placement in this one. It makes the shot. Timeless :)

A fun engagement shoot with Danielle (A Who Dat) and Alex (just a bears fan)

Danielle and Alex married at the beginning of this month.  Alex is in the military and his schedule never permitted for him to shoot engagemets until this past Friday.  Friday was my first time to meet Aex. He is a great guy and he is learning to love “America’s New Team” the Saints. Danielle will in time make him a Who Dat fan. – KB

This was a first time shoot for me. Danielle was telling me about Alex’s tattoos. I thought it would be so cool to include her in the shot as the tattoo next to her forhead is her name and the tattoo running down Alex’s side is Danielle’s new last name.

JoAnn Barr - You know – I think her name is in Korean which would be appropriate since they met in Seoul, South Korea (he was stationed there and she was there teaching through La Tech)
