A rare indoor bridal session . . . great job Heather!

12 foot ceilings and an ELABORATE antique collection…this was the setting for Heather’s Shreveport bridal session. I rarely photograph brides after the wedding (unless underwater!) but it worked out so well on this occasion. Heather was very relaxed and easy going.
Special thanks to the home owners for both their generosity and grand tour! Also to Monti and Donald for the assistance. – KB

Montie’ - Kevin,

These pictures are so beautiful! It was great to watch you at work, doing unexpected things to make incredible pictures. I love your creativity and appreciate your friendliness. Thanks for letting me be involved, too. It’s not hard work to make Heather look beautiful, but these shots are just beyond what I expected.

Take care.

An exotic location for bridals! Amy Neel Jackson, MS

Donald and I rendezvoused at the incredible Providence Hill Farm in Jackson, MS. This was to be the location for both Amy’s bridal session and her engagment session with her fiancee’ Ben.

When we arrived we were blown away at the majesty and scope of where we would be shooting. The footprint of the facility and the property was enormous! The property manager, Tommy, referred to the place as The Barn. I am here to tell you that this was far more than a barn!

Tommy (owned the land before it was developed and he knew it like the back of his hand) drove us all over the property searching for the perfect locations. In the end his efforts made everything flow smoothly and quickly. Needless to say both sessions went well and Amy and Ben were simply great to meet and spend the afternoon with. Amy and Ben’s wedding reception took place at, The Barn this past weekend and that post will follow at the beginning of next week . . . I hope. – KB

For the first time I have added color to the surround of the images. Let me know your thoughts if you have an opinion. Thanks :)

Henry - Great shots. The last one is my favorite. Number 7 comes in second.

Nick Beard - The pictures look great man…..really crisp, the colors really seem to pop. I’m not sure what you were going for with number 6….looks a little grainy???? Hope all is good with you and your family!

Elizabeth Wilhelm - Kevin, as usual, GORGEOUS. I love the wind in the veil pictures. The location is great. The third one from the bottom is beautiful. I love the light on her dress and her skin and hair. The color surrounding the pictures are perfect, but that is to be expected from an expert like you! You have such talent!

Heather and Hugo’s Shreveport wedding!

Heater was an elegant bride of few words. Hugo, steady gaining ground on expressing his emotions better on this day, was a groom focused and ready to get the ball rolling. Arriving at their wedding I actually got to meet each of them for the first time. We had been communicating via e-mail and phone through this whole process.
One thing is for certain about these two wonderful clients, both of them really understand what I do and why I do it. I had the opportunity to visit with Hugo during some down time at the reception. It was during our conversation that I realized that Hugo and Heater truly understood the art of what I do. To their credit they played right into their rolls as bride and groom on this day and the images just kept coming, creatively, artistically, and naturally.

Heather you have been so patient waiting on these. I am sorry it has take me so long! Your bridals should be next and in next day or so.

Heather Holland - Kevin, you have exceeded our expectations (and we had a very high opinion of you and your work from the beginning), the photographs are stunning. I think I mentioned to you that we looked at MANY photographers, but we couldn’t get away from your work. You are an amazing artist. I am moved by each of your photos (and not just my wedding photos), I’m surprised each time when I see this “story” in a still photograph…I don’t know how articulate that is, but it is a compliment. I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures; of those I have seen, I especially love the one of me and Hugo dancing (perfect timing) and my grandmother laughing…priceless! By the way, I also looked at the bridal portraits…there are no words!
